Jul 7, 2019. Hi everyone! I'm trying to figure out if my new GoPro 7 Black lens is normal. I just purchased this new GoPro 7 and it seems that the focus distance is different than on my old Hero 4 Silver. My GoPro 4 will focus about 6-8 inches closer than the 7. Has anyone noticed a change in focus distance going from a Hero 4 series to a 5,6 or 7? Well the hero 5 black has removable battery, it’s 12 mp, fits inside the super suit diving case and can also shoot 4K 30 video. I could be mistaken because I have the hero 7 black and not the silver but I thought the 7 silver was 10 megapixel with built in battery, the same 4K 30 and can’t be used in a super suit.
