My phones battery health is at 83% and I’m using it since 2020 fall. I’m considering buying a new phone and right now I’m very inclined towards iPhone 13 mini. The only problem is it’s smaller battery. My avg sot is about 8 hours per day. Idk if that’s considered high, but it’s what it is.

It's normal. It's not the battery's health either. It's the estimated maximum capacity, which is why it's called "Maximum Capacity", not "Battery Health" (it's simply in the Battery Health section, but it's not a measure of its "health"). It's an estimate of the battery's maximum capacity compared to when the battery was new. When you update your iPhone to iOS 13 or a later operating system, Optimized Battery Charging will be turned on by default. To turn off this feature, visit Settings > select Battery > select Battery Health. Under Battery Health, you’ll see Optimized Battery Charging. Toggle Optimized Battery Charging to off.

For a power user yes. Apple expects you to reach 80% after ~2 years, so if you use your device heavily this isn't abnormal at all. I’ve had my 12 for over a year (Feb 2022) and am at 88% currently. It depends upon your usage. I'd say no, given fairly average usage - whatever that is - and if bought new. khHjgox.
