The Challenger comes with a 3.6 Litre V6 engine which makes a good 305 hp and 268 lb ft of torque, paired with an eight speed automatic transmission which powered it’s all wheel drive. You wanted more power, well you got it, the higher the ladder you go adds a 5.7 Litre and 6.4 Litre Hemi V8 engines which makes 375 hp and 485 hp with 475 lb
The HP on the SXT is over rated while under rated on the R/T. It should be something like 270hp on the SXT and 400 on the R/T. Torque on the R/T is a huge difference. I'm running 4.7 0-60 consistent on my R/T on 22s with 295s in the rear. And about 400lbs of audio equipment. My SXT did 5.7 at best and that was rare.

With a RIPP Supercharger installed we safely squeezed 425WHP+ and 360ft/lbs** of Torque on a factory 3.6 Pentastar. That WHP is higher than a 5.7 V8 Engine swap costing thousands more and more in line with a 6.4 Hemi. Additionally, due to how efficient our Either way, 0 to 60 mph for the 2016 Dodge Challenger SXT comes in 6.1 seconds. While this is the battle of the V6 versions of these powerful muscle cars, the Dodge Challenger trumps any muscle car on the road at the moment with the new SRT Hellcat - which makes an outstanding 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. 0 to 60 mph comes in just 3.6
The Challenger Hellcat features a supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V8 that puts out a borderline-irresponsible 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. The new-for-2018 Demon goes a step further with an engine that’s actually irresponsible (in a good way). It also features a supercharged 6.2-liter V8, but in the Demon, it puts out up to 840
