Here are 2 pictures of the oil at the same spot. The picture with less quality shows the oil leaking which turned out to be from the oil pan gasket at 100k miles. The higher quality picture shows the new oil leaking from the same spot at 237k miles. Its possible this leaking is coming from that area or leaking down from the top of the oil pan seal. Yes this is my first oil change. I do know the difference between the transmission and oil drain pans. I had the car on my rhino ramps when I emptied it and filled it. I drained about a gallon (4quarts) out. I have the oil in an old 1 gallon antifreeze bottle. I put in 4.25 quarts of oil.
Some 2011-2018 Chevy Cruze vehicles may exhibit a low oil pressure light coming on or flashing on/off at idle.
